Folks, Hi.

This fund was set up, in the hope that we continue to fulfill fixtures in the 2014 season. Now to use pledges/donations made for future planning, requires a fresh notification to those pledging/donating.  AP wanted members in his time to donate 500 each, so lets be careful that we are not now doning the same.
born 1945, raised within the sound of the roaring track,Perry Barrr, went to Birchfield Rd Sch, sang at St Johns Church,  first attended The Brummies as a 7yrs old, Alan Hunt days, onto the 70's the best years, "Thank You JOE" , RIP.   now back home; AT LAST!!

Given the fact that there was more chance of Hell freezing over than the Brummies completing the 2014 Season once the Club went bust, I would have thought that most supporters and contributors made the assumption that the FF was set up to generate capital to be used whenever the time was appropriate, and for whatever purpose, to be of assistance in ensuring that the Club was resurrected.

On this basis I don't see any need for a fresh notification to contributors being warranted.

Absolutely right NorthWarwicksMike; the fund was initially set up to try to bring the Brummies back next season as no-one expected to have any chance of finishing 2014; the possibility of this happening came to light after the fund had been started. Personally I am happy for my donation to be used for absolutely anything (legal) that gets the Big Red B back up and running.

I am, however, very disappointed that some people made pledges that have still not been fulfilled. The more money in hand that can be put on the table, the more likely our return.

Completely agree. The fighting fund was set up prior to any suggestion that the 2014 season may have continued. It has always been stated that it was to help a new promotion bring the BRUMMIES back to Perry Barr and in the event that we were unsuccessful then the donators could have a refund or the money would be given the the Speedway Riders Benevalent Fund.

Given the new tonight that Tony Mole is short of his target figure to enable us to run next season, now is the time for those who pledged but have not yet donated, to make good on their promises. This is a 'no risk' situation - it has always been said that if we do not run next season, the pledges will be returned if requested.
